The 21stCentury Council and the Florida State University College of Education, in conjunction with the United Partners for Human Services recently announced the 2022 winner of the combined Roger Kaufman-Jack Gant award. Recognition and a $1000 award was given to the Southside Redevelopment Advisory Council for the creative program, Soul of Southside Arts and Humanities Festival.
The festival is an intergenerational community week long event whose mission is to empower Tallahassee’s South Side through history, commerce, culture and love and celebrate its rich and diverse legacy. Local and national entertainment, cultural and history tours, meals for seniors and the community at large, fun run and youth competitions, commerce opportunities and social engagement highlight the many activities sponsored by the festival.
